The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition with 12 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. It’s not just for plein air painters! We invite a variety of top master artists, museum directors and gallery owners to judge each month. All monthly winners are automatically included in the Annual Competition where the Grand Prize winner receives $15,000 and has their painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble.

In addition to a total of $50,000 in ALL Cash Prizes, winners receive exposure and recognition through our various magazines, websites, newsletters and social media platforms.

NYC4PA Call for Entry - PORTALS

Portals is one of our favorite themes.  It allows for so much creativity capturing things that are all around wherever we may be.

Doors and windows and arches and frames and tunnels are so much a part of our lives. There are so many ways to think about them. We can look at them, or through them.  We can poke our hand out the window to test the weather, or just see a wonderful scene a little differently when framed by an arch or array of tree limbs in a park.

Invisible Threads | Call For Photography

Invisible Threads seeks to explore the unseen connections that shape our lives. This open call invites art photographers to submit works that capture the elusive, often overlooked ties that bind the physical to the emotional, the individual to the collective, and the mundane to the extraordinary. Whether it's the subtle interplay of light and shadow that connects time and memory, the complex relationship between environment and identity, or the hidden networks within urban or natural landscapes, we're looking for images that reveal the underlying structures that influence our perceptions and experiences. All photographic techniques and styles are welcome; creativity and interpretation of the theme are highly encouraged.
