Reporting to the Vice President and Executive Producer, the MCG Jazz Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program. This role will facilitate processes that nurture efficiency and creativity, so the department functions effectively as an artistic entity as well as managing program volunteers and event occasional staff. Additional responsibilities include scheduling artists, invoicing, facilities coordination, vendor relationships, budget accounting, monitoring CD and other product sales, and day of show concert logistics. Additionally, this role supports contracting and compliance for all MCG Jazz programming and partnership events.

The operations manager should be a process-minded and creative individual with a focus on logistics and attention to detail. This individual will bring a passion for, and commitment to, the arts and arts education along with a deep understanding of and experience with performing arts presenting organizations.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills along with a proven track record of leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks/priorities. B.A. or B.S. in business, arts management, or a related field is required. The salary range starts at $55,000 per year.
